Would you like to master the art of making homemade gravy without using any drippings? Everybody knows that gravy is not the easiest thing to make. Sometimes it's too lumpy or too watery or just lacks flavor. Well, my recipe is very simple and doesn't take long to make.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 small onion - chopped
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 beef bouillon (or chicken)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup water
Cooking Instructions:
Heat
oil in a skillet or saucepan. Add chopped onions and let them cook
until light brown and tender. Under medium heat, slowly sprinkle in flour while
whisking. Add a little water and continue whisking. Continue to
sprinkle more flour and water until gravy thickens. Add other ingredients
and season to taste.
